Iran is ready to resume atomic negotiations with the United States as long as it is approached with "respect" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi stated exclusively dialogue worked, and revealed new appeals had come from mediators to restart talks with the Trump administration. The prior phases of discussions between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious termination on 12 June when Israel, with US support, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with Donald Trump declaring the facilities had been obliterated. Following this, Western states exercised their authority to restore UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Tehran representatives said they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in previous talks, when it was decided an local partnership with US participation could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to assert triumph since home-based processing would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

He said the strikes commenced with a Washington's ultimatum for an complete Tehran capitulation and concluded with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.
