In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden group.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also brings the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Mystery." Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
